I don't think I've "grown up" yet. Have you?

I was just thinking of starting a thread about walking through the park today and I notice a guy taking a sh!t in a trash can. Then when he is through he digs around the trash can, finds a newspaper, then wiped his ass. The whole time I'm giggling like a little girl and of course it's made up. It got me to thinking how I'm really just a kid living an adult life. I work a full time job, have a house, etc. I just still haven't grown up I guess. Is anyone else like that? I'm 28y/o

I feel like a kid every time I play videogames and watch anime. Especially old videogames like Sonic and Mario.

Compared to when I moved out of the house @ 19 (26 now), I do feel like I've grown up quite a bit over the years...

I'm still treated like a kid (35) by the family because I'm not married and don't have kids, so I guess I tend to keep up to their expectations :)

In some ways I guess I've grown up. There are many things in life I take much more seriously now than 5-10 years ago. In other ways, I'm definitely still 15 at most, especially when computers and/or games are involved :) I'm supposed to be 25.

I'm 36 going on 16. I refuse to ever grow up. However, having a teenage daughter will probably change that.

Will be 24 in a week. I am mature at my job and when it's necessary. For the other 90%, see Barney from How I Met Your Mother. I've been told by numerous people that I remind them of him.

I've definitely not grown up.

Okay, i have in some ways.

But while many of my old friends have gotten married, had kids, have the car & the house, the "normal" life, i sure as hell have not grown up in that way at all.

Sometimes it makes me sad that i am clinging to not wanting to grow up...

Other times i wish everyone else wasn't in such a hurry to "grow up"...

As I've grown older, I've grown out a bunch...not so much up.

Yeah, I guess in some ways I have grown up. Once your parents die, that seems to happen to you whether you want it to or not.

However, I refuse to be a mature adult...I still have an "over-the-top" sense of humor, I hold almost nothing to be sacred or reverent...everything is fair game for humor...

I usually find something to laugh at in most situations...no matter how solemn.

It's hard to grow up in a world that shouts at you constantly to only think of yourself and what you want, right now.

I feel about the same way that I felt when I was 14, I'm 23 now. There are some differences though, mainly self confidence.

I certainly don't see myself as I remember seeing other 23 year olds when I was a child. They seemed so much older, so much more adult like.

I think there's a misconception about growing up. Like, people think you should stop doing fun things at some point in your life and then you've "grown up". Fuck that. I'm just going to do what I want to do from here on out...or at least whatever I want to do that doesn't interfere with anyone else doing what they want to do. The way I see it all I am is an intelligent, hairless ape ambling through its short life and fiddling with shit that catches its fancy along the way. The things I fiddle with may change, but I don't see any reason to consider that a sign of growing up.
