I dont mind having to study and learn it all in two weeks. What I mind is the long ass essay questions tomorrow for which I've only been given 4 days to prepare. Also that they have to be handwritten in class and I dont have the fingers for it.
I'm a typing man.

OK, breaks over. Back to work.

Looking back, I'm not sure how I made it out of Euro history in 6 weeks either (at Berkeley). History was always a strong subject for me, but writing is not, timed writing is worse, and timed hand written writing is my kryptonite.

CSB time: I had originally planned on typing my BAR exam (our year was the last year they didn't allow laptops). Two days before the Bar exam, someone breaks into my Dad's office and steals their old IBM Seletric II typewriter I had already got pre-approved to take the exam. Since you ahd to have a pre-approved typewriter, I had no time to get a new typewriter approved by the bar examiners prior to the bar exam.

I ended up having to hand write my bar exam, after studying for two months and prepping to type it. So...you'll get over it.

God damn that was miserable.
Next time the little bastard cousins come down to visit I am going to a motel. Cant get anything done with them around and two days is not enough time for me to prep. Also, I cant take any more compressed summer classes. I dont learn fast enough.

I found the short essay answers in class to be the easiest thing to do for my history degree. They were never hard enough to stump me & I can write fast in cursive. Writing a thesis was much more difficult.

I heard somewhere that some school districts are going to stop teaching cursive writing in class. Just have the students type or print I guess. My how times have changed, time also moves on.

My youngest kid texts his work to his profs. Times have changed.

I always thought that the Weimar Republic days were some of the more interesting in European history.

And yes, you should be writing your report in cursive calligraphy script. Then trek 5 miles in this 100+ degree weather to turn it in....like real men do.

When I passed my baccalaureate, everything was to be handwritten and timed. You usually would have four hours per subject over an exam that lasted a whole week. On top of the written examination, there also was an oral examination. There was no such a thing as standardized testings. The grading was mostly qualitative and subjective except for maybe maths or physics.

College (in America) was a walk in the park compare to how stressful high school used to be.

Having spent 2 years in Virginias college system I am now sure Minnesota gave me a much better education in high school.
