If its past the 1st page mark, I dont see the reason to respond because I doubt anyone will ever read it. Anyone else have the same problem as me? or care?

No one reads what you say until you have more than 5000 posts anyway.

I don't have any aversion to replying past the first page, per se (I set it for 100 posts/page anyway), but I don't reply much in general.

I think I have it set to like, 1000 posts per page. So if it's past 1 page, nobody will EVER, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES care that it was posted.

I don't avoid them, but i find that if the thread is longer then 20 replies someone has already posted what i was thinking so i dont bother.

That explains why I'm so ignored.

By the time 3 pages rack up, the conversation has already gone in a circle 5 times and anything you say has mostly likely been said already

I never read passed the first page unless it's a good topic or a huge flamefest, and I show 40 messages per page.

You shouldn't see blank posts if your post count filtering is set above his current postcount. Mine's at 5000 and their posts only show up when I quote.

it's not a problem. it makes sense. like you said, what you post few people would read (IMO anyway), and chances are what you want to post have been said in various forms many times already. you could go read through the hundreds of posts but honestly most people have better things to do than doing that. I don't even read those threads because it's very clear that most of the posters don't read the whole thread and the "discussion" rarely goes anywhere.

People filter those with lower post counts? Wow, arrogance at its finest. I find people with extremely high post counts have far less to say than people with lower post counts, relying mostly on sarcasm, emoticons and deliberately contentious but not-well-thought-out single paragraph posts intentionally designed to inflame the OP.

That's right, we're professionals.

Doesn't bother me where I post, if I'm in the mood.

But I seldom READ threads that are longer than 1 page. If it takes more than 1 page to get interesting, then it's not worth it.
