Not to mention there was no other word that didn't have E or A as a vowel. I don't get it. 🙁

Because it's likely a word ending in "ING" in the format _ <notR> <notA> _ I N G.

It's about position.

It's about position.

This. You just need to remember that if there are common letters it doesn't autmoatically mean that those are good. Lonyo's solution (-ing word) is very likely in this particular case.

Just take 3 guesses, cancel your hacking attempt then try again with 4 new tries 🙂 I found that much more rewarding.

If you are just trying to blow through it, Max's method is the fastest by far. High hacking skill also helps.

I almost never had to cancel and retry just figuring it out, it's usually easy enough to get in 4 tries. I would think repeatedly guessing and retrying would take longer. I guess if you're slow at figuring it out. 😛

Ah so position matters. That explains it. The suffix trick sounds like a good one.

I usually pick 3 words that are different in structure and piece together the correct word from those. It can take 30 seconds or more sometimes. I've only messed up twice on very hard level and I don't cheat. I didn't even know you could do that. lol After I hack one and I get the inevitable CTD eventually I go back and it is usually a different word.
