I was in Target tonight and from the things I saw out of people...couples arguing, women arguing on a cell with go knows who and unbridled children running amok and screaming their heads off only solidifies what I have said before....Target is where the trashy Wal-mart shoppers go to feel "up-scale".

Really just depends on the area. I seem to get consistently trashier results at walmart though.

The only store that I rarely see trashy shoppers in is the homebrew store. All bets are off anywhere else.

My target is pretty good. Wal-Mart makes me feel like sh*t. That being said, I'm not gonna even attempt to make a comment about my K-Mart.

Just from looking at the apparel and home furnishing sections of each...Target has some styles similar to the Banana Republics and IKEAs...Walmart looks like a Salvation Army.

Better is subjective.

Target customers make on average $10k/year more than Walmart customers. :)

Yeah man, you don't have to dress up to go to Dollar General like you do when you go to Walmart.

Walmart customers compensate by having lower living expenses by shopping at WalMart.

If you were forced to get a job @ either walmart or target as a CSR which would you choose? Thats what I thought.

Target employees and lower management (in my area) are a whole lot better than their wal-mart counterparts. The managers at my target will strike up a conversation and tell you what's on clearance.

The one thing I like about the wal-mart in town is that I know I won't spend too much. Not because its cheaper (it really isn't all that cheaper, anyway), but because the moment I enter the super wal-mart I want to get the hell out of there. At Target I am liable to see a clock, bag, shirt etc. that I actually like and end up buying something that I hadn't planned on getting.

If I can save an appreciable amount of money, I don't give two sh!ts about what the other shoppers look and act like.
