I don't care, this deserves to be reposted.

If not the best this version is certainly right up there! 🙂
The best part is how effortless it seems to Whitney. She's smiling, taking her time, relaxed... She looks like she was out on an evening stroll then decided to stop by. At the end of the song, she literally skips off and goes home.

i'm always torn by this version because i really prefer the original 3/4 timing to 4/4

but her vocals are so good and the accompaniment jazz chords are sweet

so i give it a 9/10

Marvin Gaye was "better."

problem is that our National Anthem is a garbage anthem that was never written to be performed as a song...it's pretty fucking awful, lol.

But yeah, Whitney did it as well as anyone could ever hope to do it.

Really? As someone who grew up with Korean national anthem, USA National Anthem is very pop sounding. It's got that final climb and the sustain finish. It's very much 'entertaining' & feels like a 90s ballad.

Go listen to South Korean anthem.

Here's at a ball game. She sucks. Way too much up and down, can't even tell original note.
