I don't care if EA has the NFL - 2k8 FTW!

If anyone remembers RBI Baseball in the mid-90s, you'll know that this is totally OK and will probably be a fantastically fun game.
I await player names like "Tomlin LaDanianson" and "Manny Peyting". My personal favorite in RBI was "Matt Donningly." What a surprisingly crafty left handed batting, right handed throwing #23 wearing first baseman the New York team had. 🙂

What they need to do is allow you to create and download rosters/logos/etc off the net. Someone or a community of people work on a package them publish it, within the game you can d/l the package and boom, you've got everything you need. Rosters could be published weekly based on injuries and such. The only potential problem with that is it may keep people from buying the latest version every year when they can get rosters online, however, if EA has the monopoly then 2K has nothing to lose from their current situation. Good sales this year and diminished sales the following year are better than none at all.
