I Dig Rock and Roll Music...

.. by the Mamas and Papas was a very popular song with the boys in Viet Nam in the late sixties. Anything dealing with being at home was good for them. 😉

I <3 The Mamas and the Papas.

Mama Cass was cool.
She actually choked to death on a ham sandwich.
Michelle Phillips was just a teenager when John Phillips seduced her, iirc. If someone tried that today, they would be R. Kelly'd

You and I have similar tastes in music.

Heh, well some here would like to see me banned for posting my musical preferences. I'm glad you like my choices.
But posting of Female / Shemale is ok.... go figure....

I have been reciting the lyrics aloud and the cat is looking at me like "quit singing, dude. I'm trying to get some sleep."

No, she didn't.

Yep, John Philips wrote "I saw her again last night" to get back at Michelle Phillips having an affair with fellow group member Denny Doherty. Read the lyrics to the song. Denny had to sing it every night on stage.

So , if what you're saying is that what was reported in the media then is inaccurate, why are we to believe anything reported by the media (SNOPES) today?
Just because SNOPES prints it you believe it? No thanks, I'll live wiuth my memory of the actual event.
The re-writing of history by SNOPES is to be resisted.

How do you think I got to be a lifer? 😉

Old fvcks with addled brains like me were once younguns with wild ideas about freedom and keeping our loved ones safe. Too bad that sentiment present in fewer of our young men these days.

Sleep tight and be safe, those who follow me will watch over you.

So you actually witnessed Mama Cass Eliot's death?
No, did you? Were you even born then? Do you have any direct memories from that era?
Is Snopes your main reference for all thing past and legendary? There is a problem with accepting only one source as your reference and that is you subject yourself to the prejudices and influences of SNOPES. SNOPES is manned and staffed by humans and as such, is subject to flawed analysis. To wit, they are not the perfect source , EITHER.
Your pointing to SNOPES as "the Definitive Source" in no way invalidates my memory of the Media reports of her cause of death at that time.
I also doubt that anyone from SNOPES was there, either.
Would you feel better if I had said, "it was reported that Mama Cass died from choking on a sandwich." ? Either way has the same result, she died.
