I have never bought or used Deodorant in my life. In fact, until Old Spice commercials, I had always though ONLY the really stinky people used deodorant.

Then I realized MOST white and black people use deodorant.

Then I realized all the white people I've dated kind of smelled.

Then I realized I've just been /self face palmed because of France

Then I smelled some bad smelling Asians and that destroyed my perfect world of superior Asians.

Oh, I know my brand of smell. I know it very well. Some of my farts reek something glorious.

As for BO, well... I know it when I got it. I can smell a hint after most work outs, usually stuck to the shirt. If I haven't showered for awhile and work out, or sit for awhile after a work out without showering, the stench just self-perpetuates, increasing in potency with time and self-hate.


But for the most part, if I keep clean, I can stand around and do regular work, and not smell like a that guy. Yet, I can drip sweat like a that guy. I usually am dripping after the most routine and effortless motion. Riding a bike? Check. Mowing the lawn on a cool day? Check check. Shoveling snow on a holy shit it's how cold day? Doubly double check. Hell, playing a video game or sitting in a mildly-warm room.. yes I'll sweat.
At least it don't stink... though it does leave massive wetness.

And D/AP is a good solution to keeping our lovely scents at bay, because showering very frequently is actually kind of bad for your skin and hair. But, we have to smell and look presentable, and showering less than once daily (if public knowledge) is considered disgusting.

Twice is good. Once in the morning, the other for the 3:30 workout before I get back to do all my grading/paperwork. The room that I work in is generally pretty frosty, so sweat isn't an issue.

You either have super-awesome and resilient skin and hair, or they are rough and dry as all the oil is flushed away.
Or you have overactive sebaceous glands so it kind of works out...?

My skin absolutely hates showering once a day, I don't do more than that.

As an asian I feel like I've been robbed of all the benefits of being an asian - dry cerumen, reduced sweat, floppy hair... and stuck with all the disadvantages . I'm pretty sure I sweat more than anyone I know, and get some nice BO if I don't use D/AP daily and shower at least daily. I also get very greasy, especially my hair, if I don't shower daily (although this might be a vicious cycle, but I doubt it). FML.
