RICE ROCKET!!! 😉 j/k.

That's a nice intake. I couldn't pull myself to drilling a 3" hole for a PR CAI so I wound up getting the Injen quasi-CAI

i almost got the injen intake instead, the AEM one was about 10 dollars cheaper though, so i went with it.

$318 for a metal tube. At that price, $10 wouldn't have been an issue, I would have gone w/ the one that performed better.

BTW, does anyone have any dyno results for that thing?

My metal tube was $250.

that's retail.. $190 is their price.. your right though.. i wouldnt pay $300+ for a piece of metal... 😕

that's what they are calling an intake? For that price I was assuming an actual intake manifold.

i have a saw and blow torch. i'll make my own custom manifold for free.

hey rallispec.

do you have any recommendations for an online place to purchase camber kit for my 97 integra?
my tire's are eaten up pretty good.

thanx

Why the hell are these 'intakes' so freaking expensive? I wanted to get one for my car, but it costs 250 bux. It's just a freaking metal pipe with a filter at the end.

The idea of paying 250 dollars for a GD pipe with a piece of cloth at the end is recockulous.

Don't you know anything? You're paying for thousands of hours of R&D, dyno testing, and precision engineering.. These things are specifically tuned for each vehicle to produce maximum airflow and thus the maximum possible horsepower improvement..

And if you believe that, I have a bridge I can sell you... 😉

Actually, it's funny, I have a dyno sheet that shows no real benefit for that particular $200 dollar intake.

I mean sh*t, 200 bux will buy probably buy you the whole freaking intake manifold/throttle body at a salvage yard. Well, for a 4 banger atleast. . .
