I kicked my caffeine habbit completely. I've been drinking coffee for 5 years now every single day. I cut down by half a cup every other day. The first day though I cut down by one cup and I was so freaking miserable I couldn't stop shaking and I felt sick to my stomach. I've been 2 days now without a cup of coffee...I feel so weird almost like a different person now. :brokenheart:

I cut out pop for a summer of performing. Never felt better. Big thing where I cave is simply having the stuff around. If I surround myself with other choices like juice, clean water, etc, I'm just fine.

I did the same thing once, but within 5 days I had unbarable headaches that I woke up with and went to bed with. Nothing would ease my pain...except caffiene...so here I am headacheless, but drinking tons of coffee. Its worth it. I will never quit again.

Usually caffeine addiction (physical anyway) will subside after 2-3 days w/o caffeine. Of course the mental addiction isn't as easy to kick.

I tried it once and was fine after 2 days of headaches, so I celebrated with an iced coffee.

I've been trying to stop drinking sodas for about 6 months now. I usually cave in and have half-of-one/one about every week or two. But when I do, I get so wired from the caffeine that I can't fall asleep hours later.

I tried to quit once but it has become a part of my morning routine and I like my routines. Sigh :)

*gulps a mouthful of Dunkin donuts coffee*

Coffee/Caffeine never really took to me very much. I've drank it and left it easily over the years and never had any trouble doing so. During one period of time I was drinking an entire pot of espresso in the mornings, but then I just quit doing it one day. I drink coffee off an on; right now I'm not but who knows, I might pick it up again tomorrow.

What the hell? Soda has practically no caffeine in it until you drink about 6 of them.

Soda has 30-55 mgs a can, depending on what you drink. That's not nearly as much as a cup of coffee, but still significant.
