That's from the caffeine. You stopped getting a regular "fix" of it, so now that your body isn't used to it you get the full effect. There was a picture that I saw before showing a spiders web done with different chemicals. It was like regular, cocaine, caffeine, marijuana, and something else. The one made under the influence of caffeine was FVCKED up. The others were messed up, but caffeine was the worst.

What happens when you get a spider stoned.

I was a Coke addict...Coca Cola that is 😀 Mid March of 2003 I gave up soft drinks all together and have done quite well. It's almost my year anniversary soft drink free! Sometimes when there is nothing else convenient around to drink it's easy to think of drinking one but even then I've been successfully resisting.

Good man.. I have cut down a lot too... I drink a lot of orange juice, and water lately. oh and iced tea too.

I feel a lot better overall.

I typically drink caffiene free diet soda. At my last job, I used to go out to lunch on fridays with my coworkers. With lunch, I'd have 2-3 regular Cokes. By the time we'd get back to work, my heart would be racing and I was told I acted like a whacky ass for the hour or two after lunch.

I always remember Friday afternoons being alot of fun 🙂

Until 2 weeks ago, I drank at least 2 cans of Mountain Dew per day. When I quit cold turkey (dentist said I was going to need root canals), I had massive headaches for 2 days. The odd thing is, I still feel the same.

Stop drinking soda, or drink diet soda, and watch the pounds start to come off =) You'd be surprised.

Really? Could you elaborate on that please?

Easy. Soda is what, 200 calories of sugar in each can? Say a person drinks 4-6 sodas a day. That's 800-1200 calories of sugar a day gone. That's 4-6 less insulin spikes a day. (insulin spikes make your body pack on fat faster)

After not drinking sodas for a long time, I am now addicted again. It's unreal how fast you fall back into the gotta have it routine.

I know. It's so easy to fall back into old habits but this is the longest I've stuck to something so I hope I see it through.

is it just me or does it sound like a such a bigger deal for someone to cut back soda by 90% than it is for someone to drop soda completely (ie. 100%)

Among other things. Today I decided I wanted a Coke, and after drinking it, I feel kind of hyper and very aggrivated. It's just a nasty, weird feeling, and it happened not long after I drank it. Is this some kind of effect from the sugar and caffeine, or is it unrelated?

Good for you not drinking so much soda.
I used to adrink a TON of Pepsi, and finally decided to stop all togethor. i was consuming somewhere near 4-5 two liters per day. I quit "cold turkey" January 1st, 2002 and have not had a soda of any kind since.
The only thing i drink now is water or lemonade (when I want somethign sweet).
Wow, someone who has drank as much as I do. 😛

I used to drink a good deal of Coke each day.

Usually a can or 2 for lunch and again for dinner. That's all I would drink.

I stopped about 7 or 8 months ago. I don't drink as much soda, but if I do I usually just try to make it caffiene free which is what I was trying to avoid when I stopped drinking coke to begin with.

I probably have like 1 a week.
