I use DVD decrypter and DVD shrink in tandem. I rip with DVD decrypter to an ISO, (if needed) I use DVD shrink to compress, then use DVD decrypter to burn the image. If I remember correctly, DVD shrink doesn't have a burn option. Also, sometimes DVD shrink can't read a movie directly from the DVD drive, but it can if you rip it to the hard drive first.

DVD Shrink is integrated with Nero for burning after backup

I have been using ICOPYDVDS2 for about 6 months now. Its a pretty good program. I bought it at a comp show. I have backed up all my movies ever since. Pretty decent program. At first I didnt know what the hell i was doing and thought i got bought. But if you click your start button and access files through all programs and find your ICOPYDVDS2 files, there is an option called backup movie from your hard drive. I tried it and boom ive been burning ever since. out of 10 i give it an 8. Ive been reviewing some other programs and i have tried this program called 1click DVD copy. You can download it from the internet and use it three times before you have to buyt it. It costs around $50. Im just waiting for it to come down in price, and then for sure i will purchase it. And this program out of 10 is a perfect 10.

I copy alot of movies. I find DVDShrink to be just fine for nearly all my movies. I use dvddecrypter when dvdshrink fails.

It's not recommended to use DVD Decrypter as an alternative to DVDShrink, but to use it WITH DVDShrink as a completely free DVD backup solution. You can use DVD Decrypter to BURN the movie after DVDShrink has converted it. If you choose the create iso image option in burn options, it will give you a checkbox that will allow you to use DVD Decrypter to burn the image automatically. This way, it is all automated once you begin the compression process with DVDShrink.

Again, this gives you a way to do everything without having to buy any software.

Or you can just download dvdshrink immediately, for free, and be done with it. 🙂
