I converted the autozone guy to buy motor oil at walmart

OS

I bought a 6 quart case of mobil 1 at autozone for 27 dollars earlier today. I later went to walmart and they had a 5 quart jug of mobil 1 for 19 dollars. So naturally I returned the case of mobil 1 to autozone and the csr asked why I was returning it

"because I found it cheaper at walmart"
"how much?"
"19 dollars for 5 quarts"
"wow, I guess I'll buy there from now on"

Apparently autozone doesn't give their employees discounts on motor oil.

😀

Yep. We went to Wal-Mart and bought the said 5-quart jug of oil for 18$ and some change, for my brothers girlfriend's Prelude. It's quite the deal, considering the quart-bottles are like $4.77 each.

They didn't have her oil filter though. At least not in the SuperTech. Didn't want to get a Fram.

Ended up going to GI Joes(probably never heard of them..) and got a K&N oil filter.. lol

heh, nice...
actually for some reason.. no matter where i go, the prices of mobil1 synthetic are within $1-2 EVERYWHERE i go.. i just go wherever is closest now...

Seriously, everywhere else you go, mobil 1 is almost always about 5 dollars a quart without fail. Walmart is so crazy big that they can leverage out a cheaper price/agreement from mobil exxon and effectively sell it for under 4 dollars a quart.

I bought some Castrol GTX for 1.49 a quart for the bike (3 quarts)

but the other day I found a gallon of Castrol GTX for 3 bucks..

I was kicking myself.

thats some expensive stuff that synthetic oil, i hope it makes a difference.

i just use their 99cents - 1.21 per quart reg stuff🙂
