With Big Papi on a pace to hit no home runs, drive in about 70 runs and bat .208 the sports shows have buried him. In fact, two separate shows spent like an hour each "speculating" he was using steroids and has now stopped.
Regardless as to whether Big Papi regains his form, as Carlos Delgado did last year, I still feel a need to say:

Whether he was your nemesis or your hero, what Big Papi did in his 6 previous years in Boston was the greatest prolonged stretch of clutch hitting I ever saw. And I am guessing it was the best ever.

 
Between Papi, the Bruins blowing it to that scumbag Walker, and Ray Allen bricking every shot, I'm going to have an aneurysm.
