For example:

I used to play a lot of Counter Strike Source back in high school. I always wondered when you switch weapons, one weapon just totally disappears, and when you switch back, it just pops back in your hands (this is all from viewing someone from third person). So on the Steam forums, I made a thread suggesting the implementation of a Rainbow 6 / America's Army type thing where the gun would appear on your back. Less than 2 weeks later, an update was released and this was implemented.
Cliffs: I made forum post about putting weapons on backs of player models in CSS, 2 weeks later update was released that did this.

Next: Long time ago when Papa John's used to say in commercials "Better ingredients, better pizza, Papa John's", my mom was mad that they used canned mushrooms. So she called up, said if it's better ingredients why do you use canned mushrooms? Then shortly after they switched to fresh ones.

Anyone else think they caused the change in something? Now obviously these both can easily be coincidences, but they are very weird coincidences.
 
At the Italian restaurant I used to work at, one time ONE customer complained that the sauce tasted "dark" and the owner changed the formula even though EVERY employee said it was great and just the personal taste of the customer. It was ridiculous.
 
When I-10 (major artery here in Houston) was being widened, they put the star of Texas on each ramp support column. The star was molded into the column. Well, on the way to work one day, I notice one of the stars was upside down. Sent an email to katyfreeway.org, which then forwarded to the head engineers. Got an email back from both the site and the head engineer. Took about 4 months, but they fixed it.
 
If you complained about problems, other people probably did also. Not to undermine your thread, though, as I'm sure you (and your mom) contributed to the changes.

Yeah I know -- the Counter Strike thing was so weird though. That happened when I was just a lad and I freaked out when it happened.
 
You can tell the little wieners apart from the rest on this board when they take credit for what their parents do...
 
I called my congressman complaining that gas was too expensive, and BAM, 70% drop over the last few months. You can all thank me via paypal.

If there is a bridge that oscillates when the wind blows (not as bad as the Tacoma Narrows Bridge, but still very noticeable), and I complain about it, will they fix it? 😕
 
I complained to the city about broken traffic lights (one direction wouldn't switch from Red but only at night)... that was fixed in a few days. yay
