I have a fairly new comp (in sig) that I built myself, and it wont play DVDs correctly. Every DVD I try gets to the main menu and then it will just give me sound and no video. Whats causing this, and how do I fix it?

you sure you have the right codecs? try playing it with VLC player. it has a lot of codecs and can play many different files.

try obtaining a copy of powerdvd or downloading an acemegacodecs package. careful with the codecs package though, i've noticed some compatibility issues with itunes.
