I concur. Now that we have DirecTV with the DTiVO, my wife and I watch Discovery, the Science Channel, and the History Channel almost exlusively (Boomering and PBS Kids for my 4yo son!). They don't offer local channels in my area, but we don't miss 'em. I haven't watched any of the crap on "network" TV in years.

BTW, yes, we are geeks - just middle-aged geeks

Cash Cab FTW!!! I think my favorite part of the entire show is when he flips the switch on the lights/sound; the reactions are greeeeaaaaatt. I watch all except the surgeries....I have my own surgery on video if I ever feel the need to watch something like that.

I don't like watching reality shows that should have been cancelled two years ago (e.g., American Chopper and Monster Garage) and shows about hypothetical natural disasters of mythical proportions (e.g., Super Volcano and that new documentary about the 5 zillion foot tsunami that's going to hit New York).

Me too! My roomate got me hooked on Discovery this summer. Havn't stopped watching it since. Although I think we might have a slightly different lineup in Canada, as I've never heard of Dirty Jobs or FBI Files.
