I can't stand it anymore! Replacement fan for FOP38!!!!

Guys,

I always knew the FOP38 was real loud, and I thought I had gotten used to it. Today I fired up my old 300A, and had my Duron off. What a difference. I have to replace the fan on the FOP38 to something quieter, but it needs to flow about the same air. Can anyone help me here? Link perhaps?

Heh, I have an Alpha with a delta fan. I thought it was going to be loud... but it isnt! The sound of my other fans overpower it. So I don't even notice it. 🙂

if you want the same amount of airflow(~38cfm) you could fit it with an 80mm fan. it would be quieter, though i don't know how much extra airflow you'd get over the heatsink as the motor is larger... may be worth a shot though 🙂

The problem is that there is no decent sounding 60mm fan comes anywhere near the 38cfm of the delta.

Here is a very quiet 60mm fan, only flows 13cfm but the fop should have enough mass to compensate for a duron 1000 unless you have unusually high case temps. My 8kta+ reads at 46idle/53max, don't really know what the true core temp is but its stable running rc5. The fan clips will accept this fan with no problems.

Noise equals airflow in manu cases. The YSTech fans are nice but I have some Sunon 600 that do a fine job and are A LOT more quiet than the Delta is. You can't have it all... ;(

You did not give a reason about the YS fans stevem all you said was but. But what?????????????? Those YS fans rock and they are very quiet...
