This really sucks...because I am supposed to attend USC's international student orientation...
but my visa approval *just* cannot be approved in time...

It's not my fault and I am helpless about it...makes me wanna cry!! 🙁

Imagine that you are all psyched up and prepared to fly...and then *poof*..."you gotta go next spring bro, sorry!"

Are you trying to get into the United States to study? If so then it could take a while. After Sept. 11, 2001, the Government here is reorganizing the way they issue Visa's. If you remember, most of the hijackers that day was in the US on Student Visa's so I would have to guess the delay is directly related to that.

I dunno though but sounds about right to me.
 
Hang in there bro.. eventually you'll have your VISA. Dont worry, you'll be a semester late but it wont matter much laa .. you can still catch up with your fellow ADP'ian.
In the mean time, really take this opportunity to enjoy the food, and spend time with family. YOu'll miss the food the most ..
BY the way, the International student orientation is sucks. YUp, you're better off in Malaysia .. of course, if you come here early you could too go to concert and get around town. Cheer up bro !

I was referring to a Visa credit card - he can't go somewhere because of VISA problems - haha. Nevermind. Guys, get some rest, I'm stuck at work. Sleep in for me.
 
don't sweat the student orientation. if you manage to get your visa in time for the start of the term, be happy. i spent the past 8 years studying in L.A. and just moved back to Malaysia about a month ago. i'm sure the visa situation will be much harsher now...post-9-11, but good luck and i hope things work out for you.

Orientation is just a waste of money. "There's chemistry building, and there's the student union, ...Now we're in the engineering library...you can use the computer to look for books and of course access to the internet...bla bla bla."

Save the money for the outrageous cost of textbooks!
