I can't get two computers to see each other for file and printer sharing

I have been able to share files this way but not the printer.
By adding everything manually like //192.168.0.199/share/
but I am unable to get the printer to share this way.
On the computer with the printer I am able to see both workgroup computers but on the other one I see only itself.
I tried network magic but it did not fix it.
please help

First of all get rid of network magic, it causes a myriad of problems.

Make sure file and print sharing is turned on
Make sure your firewall is configured to allow access
What happens if you try start \\pcname\printersharename from a command prompt?

Successful Sharing involves some general consideration in Network settings, http://www.ezlan.net/sharing.html

As well as specific adjustment of each computer according to what it is allowed to be shared.

\\192.168.0.197\Printer(Thats the name of the shared printer) comes back as the network path was not found

then it sounds like either the user account on the PC your connecting from, doesnt have permissions to the shared printer, or the printer isnt shared correctly.

If you have permissions, you should see the shared items in the windows after doing \\192.168.0.197

May be a dumb question, but I didn't see it mentioned anywhere...have you actually shared the printer on the computer the printer is attached to?
Right click on your printer > properties > sharing tab
