I can't get the Zoom to work in RTCW!!!

No matter what I do, I can't get Zoom to work on any of the sniper rifles. I couldn't even get it to work in the WolfMP Test. It defaults to - and =, but neither works for me. I have even tried mapping my own keys but it still won't work.

HOW DO I GET THIS STUFF TO WORK??:|

Start the game then click on Options, then Control, then Shoot - then bind a key to for Switch to Alternate... You'll still need to bind keys to zoom in and out...

I bound the mouse 2 button for alternate, and just by accident I discovered that the zoom can be controlled by the mouse wheel while in the sniper mode.

yeah i just discovered how to zoom by *clicking* the middle mouse button, all the time i just tried to roll the wheel and right click...bah~

I had this same problem and made sure the proper key was bound to "Switch to Alternate" and it still didn't work. Then I noticed the mauser doesn't have a scope on it. I've only played the single player game for a half hour or so and aren't very far into it. Is the scope available later? Did I miss it when I picked up the mauser? Let me know because it could have come in handy a few times already.

You don't get the scope for the Mauser immediately -- you will need to wait a few more levels. After you get the scope, it is quite apparent as to why you need it.
