I can't get nero to install correctly

Long story short, I tried to upgrade nero from 7.1.4b to 7.5.4. I uninstalled 7.1.4b first, then ran the installer for 7.5.4. When I ran it, however, it said "you already have nero software installed on this computer. Click ok to uninstall it automatically, or cancel to uninstall in manually." I clicked yes, then it told me to reboot. I did that, and the installer ran again, and gave me the same message. I deleted the program folder, application data, d/l'd another copy of the demo, tried that, turned off the computer, turned it on, spun in a circle, etc, etc. Would someone please help me?

Nero is probably still running when you are trying to install the new version, hence the old version can't be removed. Reboot in safe mode and try uninstalling/reinstalling again, or use msconfig to remove nero from startup.
