I can't get JAVA applets to run under IE 5.5 SP1... Please help!

I was running win98SE and playing chess on games.yahoo.com regularly. When I reformatted and installed WinME and tried to play chess again, i can't get it to work. I installed SP1 and still a no go. It just shows a box with a rectangle with other shapes in the far top left corner. How do I get it back? Is there a program that I should install?

Make sure you have the latest Java Virtual Machine installed on your system. Without it, Java applets dont work. You can also go into Tools - Options - Advanced - Enable install on demand and then visit the chess site to see if u need any other plugins.

Ok, I reinstalled Virtual Machine and BOOM!.....

Just an FYI, IE will probably not support client side JAVA in the near future, thanks to microsoft being stupid about sun.
