That's what I thought, though google provides contradicting websites.

You probably contracted the deadly lollipop strain of herpes. Better start making that will and picking out a casket...

Yes but the pus from the herpes blister can get on the stick and transfer to the next set of lips it touches.

True. Oral/facial herpes isnt the bad one though, its what causes occasional cold sores.

From that pic, it doesnt look like she is having a break out so even if she did have herpes, youre fine.

Doesn't really matter since I gave you herpes last night. Enjoy. You get used to the burning.

So, whose "lollipop" where you sharing? ;):p

Wait, let me guess...was it the guy in the wife beater and the two pierced ears in the background of that pic?

That picture wasn't from last night, though I looked for cold sores and they were absent. I figured I was safe if she didn't have a breakout but my friend kept on calling me an idiot for sharing it with a girl who's infamous in our circle as "underwear girl" since she has a habit of stripping to her bra and panties when dancing in a club.

a majority of the guys at that genre of club are gay, very very gay. I got into a big fight with a gay guy coming out of the bathroom stall with 2 hot girls (i wonder what they were doing), and it ended in hugging all of them.. odd, odd place.. but fun.

The short answer is technically yes, you could get oral herpes from sharing spit with someone who carries HSV-I. People who carry HSV-I shed teh virus approximately 5% of the time whether they are showing symptoms or not. The herpes virus can be found in the saliva. It's possible for someone with oral HSV-1 to transmit it to another as genital herpes through oral sex, too. Google cdc herpes, or herpes transmission.

Oh I will reiterate right now that the saliva most definitely is a carrier of certain sexually transmitted viruses. It just depends.

That's what I thought.. I wish I got it in a more entertaining manner!

but lots of people have cold sores, I suppose it won't be a huge deal..
