The next shipment for the network adapters is supposed to be tomorrow. I beleive that's when EBGames.com is shipping their next batch, plus that's what my local EB store said when I called them on the 27th to see if they had any. I just had a friend who works in electronics at Wal-Mart give me a ring when they came in. They got 4, I got 2 of them, one for me and one for him.

I would look around for them tomorrow definitely.

My store recieved 3 on Wednesday. 3.

Please reserve the items you know you'll want to grab anyways. Then you won't have an excuse to bitch about why you didn't get what you wanted.

I got one the day they came out at Babbages. The was talking to the General Manager while I was preordering GTA: Vice City and 3 people come asking for network adapters but they were only going to preorders. So I say "Yeah, I made the mistake with the Network Adapter so I'm not doing it with Vice City". He tells me to wait a while since he is known to locate some things. He goes into the back and finds an extra one or something. He rings it up and I'm in all my glory. I go home and add it to my network, play a game of NFL 2K3. I played a total of 3 online games over 3 days, one game was really fun.

Moral of the story, I haven't touched the thing since :). I've been playing Street Hoops and its not online compatible so oh well. I guess Socom might be good, but I ended up returning it. I tried for an hour to get into the gameplay, but I just couldn't. I'm more of a Racing, Sports and Fighting person so it really wasn't the game for me. I wouldn't go crazy looking for the Adapter, just wait a while longer and I'm sure every store online and B&M will be fully stocked. I just hope more games come out that support online and it doesn't turn into the Dreamcast Broadband Adapter. I had one of those, only one game was supported so it was returned. Thats another story too, apparently Sega didn't recieve the returned item although I sent it with Delivery Confirmation. They never took the $59.99 charge off since they claimed it wasn't recieved. Our good friends at Visa's Dispute Department took care of everything :). We got a phone call a few days later from Sega saying that it was recieved 2 weeks ago but something must have gotten mixed up.

Yeah, I still don't understand that. It only works with Phantasy Start Online I believe. I bet you there's probably a never ending chain of sales on eBay. Someone sells it for $100 on eBay. Buyer gets it, figures out no games work. Instead of eating the $100, he sells it himself on eBay. Buyer gets it and the Eternal Abyss of the Sega Dreamcast Broadband Adapter continues... ;)
