I can't find a case =/

Hey guys, I have been case shopping for a long time, and can't seem to find a case that I like and fits my needs. I am looking for honest opinions on what would match what I want.

This is what I would like my case to have, the higher on the list the more important to me.

1) Clean look, no stupid plastic robot/alien looking cases.
2) Dust Prevention
3) Quiet
4) Can fit a GTX 680
5) Under $170
6) Mid Tower, not too big or heavy, its going to lan parties
7) USB 3

Thanks for the help guys.

Size may be a problem on this one. Though it seems to be the closest I have got.

It is my case. I would say it is about as big as a mid-tower case can get and still be called mid-tower. Depending on how far you need to carry it, I would still consider it portable enough to move around short distances.

And it is quiet. Which I like - I would rather lose a bit of speed than have a noisy ass computer

Don't know how well it fills your needs but I hear good things about Fractal's cases. The Arc Midi is on special (Shellshocker) at Newegg 3p-6p PST $70 USB3, filters, 140mm fans so it should be on the quieter side. Honestly with the right components anything is quiet even without sound management.

Supports graphics card lengths up to 290mm when removable HDD cage is in place and up to 470mm with upper HDD cage removed

I'll throw in the Fractal Design Define R3. Have one and love it. Good temps, nice and quiet. Small. Should do everything you're looking for.

Does it have to be a midtower? You could seriously save space with a microatx mini tower combined with a microatx board. Plenty of such cases that will fit a gtx680

e.g. Fractal Design Arc Mini

"Supports graphics card lengths up to 260 mm when removable HDD cage is in place and up to 400mm with upper HDD cage removed"

gtx 680 is 256mm

Another mATX (if you could go mATX) option would be the Silverstone TJ08-E

I currently use an Akasa Mirage-62, and its great, looks like an old server case 🙂

I am having the same problem as OP; I don't need a new case, but I am keeping my mind open, had this case 5 years now. I have looked at everything. I also hate the "gaymer" style and prefer elegent, professional looking gear.

What is your take on Lian Li cases OP?

They do some really nice mid towers, the PC-8NWX would probably be my pick out of the lot, the PSU is also top mounted which I kind of prefer, more so as the Lian Li cases don't tend to offer much in the way of cable management for routing cables round the back of the motherboard tray. Bottom mounted PSU's make a mess when you cant route the cables at round the back.

I was actually thinking of starting a new thread for feed back on Lian Li cases.

Corsair 650D? Corsair 550D?

the corsair 650D is the way to go.. however i would personally recommend the 600T since it aint bad either, but in my setup i have a thermeltake chaser mk-I with some awesome blue lighting inside, its some hardcore hardware porn if you ask me, specially with vengeance memory inside and a corsair h100... looks like straight out of a sci fi movie....
