Man I was the complete opposite. I use to live in a small city, very quiet outside. Went to college and couldn't fall asleep for a while because of all the noise. Got use to it and then went back home and couldn't sleep because of the lack of noise.

Now that i'm older, lol falling asleep doesnt seem to be a problem anymore :(

Same here. Wife and I both need noise to sleep. We run a window A/C unit (in addition to Central Air) in the bedroom every night, all year round. You can do that in Florida! LOL. In addition, I have a small desktop fan I turn on that blows directly on me.

Whenever I am on a trip and sleeping away from home, I have to make sure to pack a fan so I will have noise to sleep to when I get there. That's not too bad for driving trips where you can pack a fan in the corner of the trunk or something, but on a flying trip I have to save room in my suitcase for a fan. That's more of a challenge. Can't sleep without it though.
