I can't connect to networks using my WiFi antenna

Hi,

I just purchased a Signal King SK-11TN USB WiFi antenna.

It seems to do a good job of finding networks that otherwise wouldn't have popped up on my wifi adapter's radar screen.

Many of these networks appear to have a strong signal, many with 3 and 4 bars.

But, whenever I attempt to connect to them, I usually get an error message stating that a connection couldn't be established.

I don't mean that there was some kind of security I couldn't circumvent; I'm never asked for a password.

It doesn't even get that far; it seems that I can't communicate with these networks at all.

Why is this happening, and how can I fix it?

You would need to boost or focus your
transmission or they would need to have a high gain receiving antenna.

Try a directional antenna...?

Verify that it works at all in the 1st place with a known good WiFi connection.

Did you use the TPlink drivers or did Windows install them?

What modem do you have?

I've got a TPlink (but not the same as yours), too their drivers arent that good.
