I can't change my "Display Settings"

This morning when I booted my pc up, the display settings is 640x480. I went to change my settings and now I only have 3 settings: 640x480,800x600,1024x768. I chose the 1024x768, rebooted, and it went back to the 640x480.

Any solution to this?

have you tried uninstalling then reinstalling your video drivers??

Check your monitor in control panel/system/device manager.
Sometimes mine reverts back to plug and play, it's fairly easy to bring the tree down for Monitors (it may say plug and play) and hit the refresh button on the bottom of the window. Go back to the monitor tree and it may say your real monitor now (if you had the drivers for it installed in the first place). Now go back to trying to change your desktop properties/settings. Voila you have cheese...
