i cant BURN CD's............

when i use ez cd creator, i cant burn in real time. why is that???? i have a p3 gig with a 12 speed burner and 128 mb of rdram. a buddy of mine has the same burner with 256 SDRAM and he does a cd in 6-7 minutes. me....takes me ~12! sucks!!!!! what can i do??? i am constantly under buffering.

what i mean by that is, when it says "2:30 left", it will take 2min 30 sec instead of longer. it takes longer because it is underbuffering. when the buffer %age goes down to zero, burning pauses so that the buffer can "replenish" itself. any thoughts???

So will it take 2:30 or will it take longer to finish the burning?

If you are getting buffer underruns, that means your HD can not supply
enough data to the burner at 12x, (which uses about 1.8MB of data per second). Do you have other software that's running at the same time as the EZCD? Do you try to defrag the HD that's supplying the data? DMA issue with your CDRW/HD?

i dont run anything while i burn. DMA will not work with my burner. i think its because i have rdram. oh yeah, it takes longer on my system to burn. i have a 7200 rpm maxtor. what do you think?
