thats probably a good idea, ive herd rumours of a price cut on the 460's within the next month so waiting is probably the best option.

460 was going for $149 at Chief Value for days until sold out.

that's a good point but I only have the capacity to buy at retail stores, and I only saw a $2 price cut equivalent here...

A GTX 460 cyclone 1GB costs around $243 here...
 
The 4xx series takes way too much power to run,, something like 335watts. That is not only heat but not energy saver.. I hope the 5xx series will be less power drawn like 200watts no more then that. I mean what wattage does a AMD 5870 need. These boards IMO are no good cuz of the wattage they need and how hot they get. thank you and gb
