i rarely buy butter/margarine. but when i do, i usually buy whatever is on sale.

recently i bought "I can't believe it's not butter."

i think it has more butter flavor than real butter :Q

How does it taste to you?

I usually buy the Land O Lakes spreadable butter with Canola Oil for toast and that type of stuff, and cheap unsalted sticks for baking, cooking, and whatever else.

That's because they put diacetyl and acetoine in it. They probably put too much in proportion to the volume.

From Nutrition: A College Science Class: Margarines that are runny are the least hydrogenated. So "I Can't Believe It's Not Butter Spray" is healthy and it taste good. I buy it.

From the PBS TV Show: America's Test Kitchen: They did blind taste tests on butter and different brands of margarine. I saw the show 2 years ago. The one that tasted the best, most like butter was a margarine.

This. I use margarine for a few things that require it but otherwise I much prefer the taste of butter so that's what I use.
