there's this one folder on my computer i cannot access, rename, move, delete, modify or anything. i can't delete any folders that contain it either. when i try to open the folder this pops up. it's not absolutely vital that i delete this folder, but it's still an annoyance to not have control over my computer. it's like this even is i reboot and no programs are accessing it, so i'm thinking it's a problem with the drive.

yep, doesn't work in NTFS. i tried safe mode and it didn't work and i went into recovery mode but i can only access the partition that windows is on, and this folder is on another partition. any ideas?

You might as well just build a boot CD. Do a google search for "Bart PE" and that should lead you in the right direction.

It looks like an orphaned file, run chkdsk (check drive for errors from the tools menu on the drives properties page)

Should sort it.

could also be that it exceeds windows character length for a file name, ive had that problem before except it would crash my computer when i tried to open it.
