I cannot believe what just happened in Madden 07.

Playing in Superstar mode (of course the AI defense is absolutely terrible in this game), anyways, I'm up 28-26 in the fourth with the Colts vs. the Jags.

The Jags get the ball back with 2:00 remaining and throw a long pass to the three which gets completed. My defense stufs them three times nad they kick a FG to go up 29-28.

Anyways, they squib the ensuing kickoff which goes out of bounds giving me the ball at my 40. A quick completion and spike and I'm at the Jax 44. Two incompletions (I thought Peyton Manning was God?) and a third-and-10. A completion to Marvin Harrison to move to the 38, giving me a shot at a 55-yard FG with no TOs and :20 seconds left.

Adam Vinatieri and the kicking team go out there and... WHAT??!?! THEY DIDN'T SNAP THE FVCKING BALL! THEY LET THE TIME RUN OFF THE CLOCK! WTF EA? BIGGEST GLITCH EVER.

Ridiculously poor programming to not have a team that knows its ahead or behind. This happens all the time when you're behind in the fourth and the QBs let the playclock run down to 0:10-0:15 before they snap it.

I've about had it with this game. Causes too much stress.

More stressful than 3rd period math?

If you're ensinuating that I'm in high school, I'm not. Anything else, care to explain?

More stressful than coming out of the closet to a family of zealous evangelicals?

Its Superstar mode, where you control yourself and the AI controls everything else.

I have it turned to where CPU does everything when I'm not on the field, might have to change that in a pivotal moment.

I 100% agree. I sent Madden 07 (xbox360) packing after about a week. I kept TRYING to like it, but it was just too frustrating for me. I went back to the PC version (old engine) which is WAY better.

I really have an enjoyable time with the PC 07. Xbox360 version is a joke.

The latest quirk I found involved my schedule in franchise mode. Apparently a natural disaster will strike San Diego in the summer of '09. Because next year's schedule started me off with 6 straight away games and 8 out of the first 10 away from home. But I guess i get to finish the season with 6 straight games at home.

Um why didnt you hike the ball? You have complete control over your team...

you can hike the first second after youre lined up if you want..
not the AIs fault youre dumb..

Good luck with that. Switching between CPU control and User control doesn't take effect immediately for some retarded reason. It usually takes effect the play after you switch... :|

I'm still waiting on a patch to fix the following:

- Fatigue levels not showing
- Plays not showing up in the playbook at random times

But hey... I must be one of those "uber picky" users ;) .

Madden sucks. The last time I played was like Madden 2001 or whatever. Went through the season and lost maybe one game, went through the playoffs and won every game. For all that, this sh!t game didn't have my team in the superbowl. I said wtf? and never played Madden again.

My '06 put the ball on the wrong 20 yard line once. Madden is just a terribly programmed game... and it's the only NFL game out there. :|

Oh, and I don't know about on consoles, but on the PC, if you bring up the gameplan (where you see the receivers' routes and such), the clock stops ticking.
