I can afford a E228WFP Dell 22"

The above is going for $500 delivered and is by far the best price for a 22" LCD in NZ. I guess its a TN panel but I dont do photo or video encoding. Only surfing and gaming and a little support.

Is is there any reason not to get this unit?

It's on the 'poorer' end of 22" monitors. Otherwise, it's about $100 chaper than the Samsung panel, which should be the highest quality one.

Heh, a fair few NZers on the forums (myself included).

I'm looking at the Samsung 206BW (20")... I'd appreciate any advice regarding that monitor. I know about the whole A vs S panel thing (applies to the 226BW as well), but as I'll be buying from a friend in the business I'm fairly sure he can secure me an S.

All in all the Samsung 206BW and 226BW look like very good monitors ? at least I hope so :p

That is non-sense. all panels are different. There are some rather poor TNs, and very few decent ones, but still they exist.
