I bought some synthetic urine for a pre-employment drug test, but I'm kind of afraid

I really don't understand why this turned into an argument. If I was actively looking for a job, I'd make sure not to smoke. I don't know what's so hard for people to understand that. If you can't then obviously smoking is more important to you than getting a job so then you have to deal with the consequences. When I used to smoke when I was younger that's what I did. Wasn't that hard.

I think if you don't know ANYONE that doesn't smoke, your life path is already pretty well laid out before you.

I probably know a handful of people who smoke pot...but I don't associate with them. (and I'm related to two of them)

I don't know a single person who smokes pot who is successful (has their own cars, homes, savings, etc). However I know plenty of people who smoke pot who work min wage jobs, have multiple kids, live with parents or on welfare, and of course will tell you this whole situation they are in is 100% not their fault.

I get a tax return what do I do with it? Savings, investments, pay bills, home improvements. My wife's sister get's a tax return and she buys pot or booze.

I know many successful people who smoke pot.

I also know many not so successful people who smoke pot.

It's all in the person themselves.

It just appears to me from my time on this planet a very apparent correlation between doing drugs and being a loser. There are always exceptions to any rule, but this holds true enough in my experience that I would stand by it.

I think we need some kind of scientific study. I'm honestly all for legalizing pot. I'm all for raping the lower class with vice taxes to improve our tax revenue. I'd also legalize prostitution.

Wow this devolved into the 3 page troll thread as predicted as it always does.

In summary 3 options:

1) pay money, cheat the test, don't interrupt usage
2) abstain, pass the test, resume usage
3) never use, never worry.

What about other drugs besides pot? Millions are consuming all this stuff and it isn't just low class low lifes.

There's a correlation between abusing drugs and being a loser.

Many folks can keep their drug use occasional, recreational, and fun. Those who can't tend to fail.

In that sense alcohol is no different from pot, coke, or ecstacy.

TBH the main thing that's kept me away from drugs isn't their legal status, it's fear of losing control. Hell I get jittery from a day without coffee; methinks I may be susceptible to addiction;)

Everyone does drugs. Nicotine, caffeine, endorphin rush from gorging yourself with food, pain killers, anti-anxiety meds, etc... We live in a culture that encourages everyone to get hooked on something.

Isn't the latest report something like 40% are taking prescription drugs? Thats frightful....these days the side effects of 'legal' drugs dwarf those of the illegal ones.

I quit using OTC pain killers after reading a few articles on their side effects. Especially on how they completely screw up the body's own natural way of dealing with inflammation and pain.
