About 2 years ago or maybe 1 1/2 ago but anyways it's a very spicy soup thats really delicious and I loved it so much I box 2 boxes worth of that stuff and now I'm making some but the problem is there are two packets, one thats dried powdered flavoring and one that's got fat (solid ATM but otherwise kind of liquidy) and I think spices but I'm not sure. I've been keeping this stuff stored in the pantry (therefore not cold but not hot) and I was wondering if it was possible the "fat" became rancid or not (was sealed packaging with which I think has no air). Do you think it's a good idea to eat this stuff? (Is not so worried about the dried stuff). The "fat" paquet is kind of solid ATM but when I smoosh it around it becomes liquidy agian but my main concern is that it will be rancid...

if it is so good, why did it take you so long to eat it?
did you buy a trainload?

i would skip the packets, the noodles might be ok

no expiration date unfortunately (got it in a asian market in Richmond...) and one of the reasons I don't eat it all the time is because it's fattening and I don't like going to richmond...

the fat portion is likely sesame oil anyways so if you don't want to risk it, just go buy a bottle of sesame oil.

I think it's good. It will melt if you heat it up.

By the way, ramen is one of the best way to save money if you buy them in boxes. They can be made into a healthy meal if you add meat/egg/vegetable.

Only the highest murder rate per capita in the U.S IIRC.

1) I woudln't eat anything with a "fat packet"
2) If it doesn't say anything on the box about refrigeration it is "safe" to eat *refer to number 1 above*

Coach Carter says it's a bad place.

Yes I ate it, took about 45secs with boiling water. I decided to opt out the greasey shiet and used the dried paquet I had. Tastes great and just as I expected. I expected the lack of the other paquet to effect flavor but it's still as spicy as I had intended it to be! Looks like all it did was effect the coloring and the fat content of the food, doesn't seem like anything else.. So I'm happy. :) I'm still wondering though if it was rancid or not...

FYI I believe it's taiwanese...

FTW :D I cook two packs of noodles and make sauce from a .99 cent package of dried spaghetti sauce, 1 can tomato paste, 1 can pureed tomatos, and 1 can tomato sauce with some spices, the entire meal costs like $3 and lasts 2 meals heh.
