I bought some DVD+R's on sale, are they ok to use?

I bought 100 DVD+R discs on sale for $25. I've always used DVD-R and I've heard there are some compatibility issues using DVD+Rs.

Is this true?

Years ago I started using +R because my burner could set their book type as -ROM, so that's all I've used. I never have issues.

The myth of +R compatibility problems just won't die. I've always used the plus media and use book type DVD-ROM.

I think +R with the -ROM type set is actually more compatible in more DVD players than -R.

But either one works fine. So just do as you did, and buy what is on sale, as long as it's quality media.

Older drives and DVD players years ago would give problems. More recent ones do not.
