I'm pinching pennies like crazy, trying to keep our total wedding expenses under $5k (avg. cost for a US wedding is $22k). I paid less than 20% of retail value for the dress.
Under $5k I wish. Sh!t, the woman's dress alone (plus alterations and tax) put us over that.
Believe it or not a beautiful wedding on a budget is entirely possible, we're doing quite well so far.
Oh I know it's possible. Just not possible in my case.
If you can afford it, by all means...
I wish I had an unlimited budget, but that simply isn't the case... and neither of us want to put such a financial burden on either of our families, so we'll be paying for it entirely on our own. I've been saving... and however much you're spending minendo, you know it will be worth every penny :thumbsup:
