Oh, yeah, BFG will take it back without a receipt, no doubt. You just need to have the serial # printed on the card still visible, that's all.

Check out their site - www.bfgtech.com - for details on their warranty.

Best thing is that, apparently, FX 5900 users are getting their cards replaced with GeForce 6800s since BFG is out of stock of 5900s.

*DEFINITELY* RMA that bad boy!

They are pretty good with it anyway, though.

Long story short, it doesnt work. There is no way to RMA since it is kind of old. I don't know what to do. Do I be an ass and just give it back to him or what? I knew I should have bought it from the egg....

OK...a little clarification. The cards works until I play a game. I tried BF and UT at medium levels, then it pixelates and/or my computer reboots.

I deleted all my old drivers, installed new ones. Tweaked my bios a bit, and now I am going to try beating on it again.

Lets leave Zim's . thread alone.

Slap him on the head with the card.

LOL...you guys are crazy

Just got off the phone with the tech support guy. I was ready to do battle. I told him what it was doing and he agreed that it was overheating. They RMA'd it without even asking the serial number. Gotta love that.

Yeah, you get one of their higher-end modelsl, and BFG treats you right.

Now, cross the fingers that you get a 6800 in return!

I did the same thing to my best friend. Wanted to update to an X800 Pro so I sold him my one month old, never oc'd 9800 pro for 190 and it works like a charm for him. I beat HL2 on that card :). I would demand your money back if you cant get it back from a company. Thats just screwed up that he would screw you over.

Now hit your buddy up for the $140 back for selling you a bum card, and make out like a freekin' bandit ;)

never. If they do upgrade me he will probably be pissed, but in a good way. We help each other out and seem to take turns finding random hot deals.
