I had over 100 transformers, and I found out about 5 years ago my mother sold em at a yard sale for a buck each. They were in excellent shape with all the accessories !!!!!

Toyrus, $15, its a WRX STI, complete with WRC graphics.

yeah i have this one, it's a biotch to transform, and when you get it back to the car form, you have to mold it like puddy for it to stay right

so I bought a transformer and I was sitting here for like 20 mins trying to turn it into a robot. I just gave up, man this is a pain in the ass.

I thought this thread was about power issues.

that's what i thought too.

I remember the old transformers where you get all of one particular set you can make them come together and become a giant robot.

My parents never bought me the transformers (too expensive), I walways got Go-Bots (poor man's transformer).

Yeah you know, back in 1986 or whatever, my parents bought me one, about the same size as the one I just got, and it was $20 back then. My family was poor back then, so I didn't really appreciate until now how expensive these were at the time.

I mean even now, this one usually costs $20 and thats still a bit much.

We had the original Optimus Prime (with trailer and everything) but it got broken and lost and now I think it went to a tip somewhere 🙁

Alternators are plastic, while the Japanese version(BinalTech) are metal.

Heck, even go-bots were made out of metal back in the day.

Are kids these days actually playing with these things like we did, or are these mostly being sold to grown-up kids?

From the Hasbro site: "Removable intercooler becomes a weapon." Next they'll have Type R stickers double as ninja stars and coffee can pipes double as bazookas.

i've had the problem before. i just looked for some before and after pics online.. eventually i was able to hammer it out.

wow, thanks. this thread has forced me to search for transformers stuff and find that the original series is on dvd collections and i will be spending all of my money on this now...damn you to hell...
