Why should he have to need one to buy one?

Usually when the time comes that you "need" one, the time for buying one is long past.

Exactly. You should never, under any circumstance have to justify a "need" to buy any firearm.

Of course you do.

Now, should I start an AR build, or should I get the Kahr PM9. In this case, I had more of a "need" for the PM9. :p

There is only ONE correct solution to that dilemma - get both.

Maybe...

I already got a browning bps micro for the GF and have an RPK clone (AES10-B from century) on the way. Kind of broke. :(

Because Red Dawn can come at any time.

Plus you never know when communist factions of Russian and South America might band together to invade the US.

Ha! Until ~2 weeks ago I would have not gotten the reference. I've been a little behind in my movie watching.

Zomg, my 2 sigs are by far my 2 favorite handguns. I've only shot one H&K and wasn't to big of a fan.

I meant a picture of the gun you just bought, not a link to a little stock photo off the internet.

Here, I'll start.

My ruger mark III.
I added 4 pics for you. My dad has some nice revolvers I'll likely inherit some day. He's got a nice Ruger 44 magnum Blackhawk with nice brass work....hopefully, I'll inherit his gunsafe too...I'll need it for my shotguns and rifles.....unless the price of ammo keeps going up.

I've got a S&W Sigma 40 and absolutely love it. I've put about 1500 shots through it in the last 3 years or so and it only jams every so often. Mostly if I don't clean it properly.

Just bought my wife a Walther P22... great gun so far. Very well constructed.

That is a bad ass gun, my buddy has one.
Here's my obligitory gun pic Kimber Custom Stainless II .45

Just got that gun a couple months ago. (ignore the date stamp.) I've always wanted a 1911! I'm looking at picking up a stainless II ultra carry soon when I get my CHL.
