This BF, I bought no Saitek keyboard, no RAM, and no wireless doohickeys.
I bought a lamp.
It's got a built-in USB hub, and it's flourescent - and it's even got a little clear plastic shield. It's perfect for soldering.
And it only cost me 8$! No rebates, just good old-fashioned clearance.
I'm also buying some stuff off some AT members and Craigslist - much better than buying new, and no rebates. I'm getting a Sansui reciever (or, at least, trying to), an extra pair of speakers (that kick the ass of the 10$ Pioneers being sold), and perhaps getting two wireless adapters off geeks.com - they're not actually on sale, but there's free shipping, at least.
And now, I'll get down to soldering.
Any other tales of liberation from the stampeding whordes?
