for those wondering WTF I am talking aboot, it's a Canadian thing.

Pirate Cookies are made by Christie: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Mellis_Christie

The cookies are an oatmeal cookie with peanut butter icing in between, similar in concept to an Oreo.

here is some more info: http://www.canadianfavourites.com/Christie_Pirate_Peanut_Butter_Cookies_p/christie005.htm

I used to have them as a kid way back in the 1970's. I am glad to say they still taste great today and are a guilty pleasure of mine. My GF likes them, too.

so 2  up.

Actually that's a pretty big deal - most recipes switched to corn syrup & preservatives and a lot of stuff doesn't taste the same anymore, so +1 for still tasting good!

Don't think I've ever had Pirate cookies. More of an Oreo man myself.

Speaking of Canadian cookies, anybody else notice Peek Freans have gotten sickly sweet in recent years? Or is it just me?

just buy girl scout cookies like a normal person. sheesh.

We do not get the selection you guys get down in the United States of America. We get awful vanilla and chocolate sandwich cookies, and that is all.

I used to love Pirate cookies when I was a kid, but I bought a back a year or so ago and they were not as good as I remembered. :(

Wow I have not seen those in forever, I'll have to check the cookie section at the grocery store see if they even sell them here. I usually buy the maple leaf cookies those are a good classic too.

Those totally bring me back to my childhood. It's cool that they still make them and they're pretty much the same as I remember them as a kid.

You can buy them at Shopper's. Well in Vancouver you can anyway, not sure about this shitty city.
