You need a bigger drill, or a 1/2" drill bit that has a smaller shank to fit in your 3/8" drill.

I never thought that I would use the word "shank" in these forums.

Chuck that 1/2" drill bit up in your lathe, and turn down the shank to 3/8" or so...

Oh yeah, since you don't have a 1/2" drill, you prolly don't have a lathe either! Just go get a reduced-shank drill bit :)

You can get a block of wood, a bow and string and drill like you were gonna make fire.

So instead of dropping 10 bucks on a 1/2 inch bit with a 3/8 inch neck or what not i picked up a PHAT 1/2 inch high torque drill at home depot last night for only like 50 bucks.

Woo hoo!

Thanks for the help :)
