Ok, I have NO idea what's up with the name change on ewiz, and I've been hearing some unhappy grumblings but I've bought from them quite a bit with no issues.... So whatever.

$62.84 to the door, being that I just bought my business partner a new lappy I couldn't resist grabbing this one as well.

16MB cache is about the only thing I haven't mentioned so far, that and it's free ground shipping, any other option is extortion.

Not cool, but the ewiz/newbiiz product page doesn't say squat about form factor and they had it stuck in the laptop HDD section of pricewatch. Good thing I posted here or I wouldn't have known until it was too late.

You know that this is a 3.5" drive, right? If this were a 2.5" this would be very hot. This isn't a thread crap either, but I got the impression that you thought this was a laptop drive and I wanted to let you know that it is not.

F-in hell... The fact that it was listed under laptop drives on pricewatch and that I didn't see anything contradicting that fact on the ewiz site.

Now I'm ticked.

MSRP: $149.95

That didn't give it away? A 320GB 7200 RPM laptop drive for an MSRP of $149 didn't tip you off?

Or the fact that there is a "notebook drive" section on the left side of the screen and that section isn't highlighted nor does the path on the top of the page tell you that you are on the notebook drive section?....

Go Easy on him... There are certain stores out there putting 2.5" form factor in their description for this exact same model number... It was a mistake anyone could make if they didn't cross reference with other websites. But this is a lesson for the OP that haste can make waste.

Still not a bad deal for someone who can't wait for a sale. Cheapest 320GB 3.0GB/s drive is $70 on newegg. Haven't seen a lot of deals on internal HDs recently...

Yeah, its not a terrible deal or anything, but definitely not HOT like it would have been were it a 2.5" drive.

But go easy on him. It was a mistake.

Yes a mistake, made in haste, hours past my bed time blah blah blah. As for deals on 3.5" drives, I only recently picked up 4x 500GB 7200.10 Seagates for $70 each at ZZF. I *really* don't need another 3.5" drive at this point.

As for waste, it was easy enough to send them an email for cancellation of the order (meanwhile bitching that their claim of a cancellation button on the invoice details being false). If they can't manage the cancellation then they get denied payment via my CC. Not a big deal for me.

If you want a 320GB for your laptop, try ebay. I got a WD passport 250GB for $56 and some other brands' 320GB portable hard drives like simpletech are obtainable for $70ish if you are patient. All you have to do then is open up the case and swap the hard drives to end up with a 320GB internal laptop drive and an external with whatever capacity the original drive has.
