I beat some odds w/ some instant win lotto tickets

Grabbed four $1 instant win tickets at the gas station today. One was a dud, two out of the four were free tickets, one was a $25 win.

Now the question is, do I just pocket my $25 and run, or double down and put $10 back into more tickets + 2 freebies and try my luck again? These were a max payout of $200 so you have a halfway decent chance of winning *something*.

I got hooked on the $10 Christmas Tree scratchies last year. At one point I was up $160. I will not admit to how much I ended up losing.

$10 instant win tickets? Wowzers...don't think I could man up and pay that much for one ticket. $2 is about the most I'll spend on them.

Here in MI there is a website that tells you what instant tickets have what prizes left. The christmas trees had (3) million dollar winners and a couple $10k winners left. I hit one ticket that paid $100. Do you know how hard it is to stop when a ticket just paid $100 and you know there are 3 out there that are paying $1 mil???

I kept the stack of losers in my drawer at work to remind me never to play scratchies again. I will throw $10 down when the regular lotto gets way high, but I will never spend another dollar on scratchies.

my brother bought $20 worth of these things for white elephant last year... the recipient won something like $16. Doh.
 
I had bought a $3 ticket in Nov., That one got me $15, so I bought five more. By the time I lost everything I had gone through 11 tickets, not a bad run for $3.
