Way to ruin everything R0PE 😛

j/k, I'm pretty sure they used to not allow such lotto pool threads for potential legal reasons. It was really just a matter of time until they put an end to them again I believe.

See this thread for the reason why it was closed.

I'm sorry we didn't get to it earlier. Frankly, I had forgotten that we kicked this upstairs last time and the reply was that it would be better for all that we don't allow it. Again, apologies for not handling it sooner.

Olds, check allisolm's link. It's the same reason as the last time we locked a lottery thread: The Boss doesn't want us doing lottery group buy threads here.

True. But I know from experience that sometimes things are let go/slide till someone complains. Back in 2001 or so, Evadman had a group buy for anti-static bags that was allowed to run till someone whined.

No one complained. Frankly we hadn't been paying any real attention to the lottery threads; so it basically slipped under the radar.

Heh, I was just thinking about that last night because I had to mail a bunch of hard drives and did not have any static bags. I should start something like that up again now that I have a USPS corporate account and can ship them for about $2 instead of the $5 it used to be.
