I was told by my friend who works admin at the student computer store, that there are 3 positions open and that people are practically guaranteed the job.

Sent in my resume in while her supervisor (friend told me to contact this lady) and I guess she was out of town until a few days ago.

I'm getting jittery. Not even a reply? Shizzles.

Edit: I feel stupid.

just call them up and let them know you want to check up on the status. It'll give them an extra nudge. Good luck! :)

Yea I just wanted to do something like that.. maybe shoot off another email or something because I honestly think I should be getting some job like this. The only reason I wouldn't is that people already flocked there before me, but I was notified by a friend because they don't post up their job openings that quickly. Plus people are on break....

Even though there is a flock of people, you have to flock too and make yourself stand out from the crowd. Drive is a thing employers like to see.

maybe you should go there and physically introduce yourself with the intention to give off a good impression.

Yeah email her again, nothing says "hire me" like an impersonal email that's easily deleted and forgotten.

Go in, ask to see her, introduce yourself, ask when a good time to talk about the position would be. Be assertive and be forward, if you just sit around waiting you will not be hired.
